Pinterest: I got my invite from Pinterest last week and have been pinning things ever since! Basically a giant inspiration board, Pinterest allows you to “pin” things found all over the internet and share with others. You can also click in to the pins and it will take you back to the original link. So if it’s a DIY tutorial, you can find your way back to see the step by step process. Or if it’s a great dress, you can always find out where to get it. If you’d like to join the Pinterest obsession, let me know if you’d like an invite. I have a few to share! And if you want to check out my boards, you can find them here.
Prints from RosyDesignsOnline on etsy: I have fallen in love with these adorable prints that have a sweet vintage flair about them. The faces on the people and the scenes are so simple, yet so charming! I love the colors and could totally see one of these in my craft room in my new home! You can also customize the print with hair and skin tone color or a cute message for a little extra! And she’s offering free shipping if you order an 8×10 print before April 30th, so hurry and order! Swim Team, $19.
FloorPlanner: Almost every night for the last few weeks, my husband and I have been playing around on this website, creating the floorplan of our new home, as well as trying out different furniture combinations to see what will work in each room. It’s a really handy tool for determining room layout without having to move big bulky furniture around multiple times. FloorPlanner.com.
Vintage Buttons: Over the Easter weekend, my grandma let me go through her large button collection and let me pull out any of the ones that I wanted that would fill up this red tin with. I spent the next hour going through three giant freezer bags of old buttons that belonged to her, my great aunt, and great-great grandma. I very easily filled up the tin with an assortment of colors and shapes, and wanted to take home all three bags, but I kept to my one-tin limit. I know I’ll find a ton of uses for the buttons, even if just sewing them onto the laptop sleeves for my etsy shop.
Sprinkle Donuts: What’s not to say about a sprinkle donut? Colorful, sweet, and makes you feel like a kid while you’re eating all the colors of the rainbow in each bite. We indulged on sprinkle donuts a few days ago and I forgot how much I love them. Obviously, it’s not a regular staple in my diet, but when I do indulge in them, it makes me feel a little more cheery about life for some reason. I’m sure whoever dreamed up the sprinkle donut certainly had that in mind.
